A statement issued by INA on Thursday said the agreement was signed
by a member of INA's management board and executive manager for
refineries and wholesale, Zeljko Vrbanovic, and Beopetrol's
general director Mirko Rasovic. The two companies plan to expand
their cooperation to lubricants as well. The agreement envisages
the sale of 1,000 tonnes of lubricants, worth close to three million
German marks, in the first half of this year.
The cooperation between the two companies is being realised through
Belgrade's Komercijalna Banka and Zagreb's Privredna Banka, which
have established cooperation as well.
The agreement is a result of negotiations between the companies'
management boards, which lasted several months. For INA, the
contract means full operation of the Sisak Oil Refinery and an
increase in the sale of industrial and motor oils and lubricants.
The cooperation with Beopetrol will be widened to joint performance
toward third entities, i.e. the largest Yugoslav companies
interested in the products of the INA - Lubricants plant, Vrbanovic
said.
