After the arrest, Topalovic said he committed the murder for
ideological and religious reasons. Many other pieces of evidence
also indicate that he is the killer.
The investigation of Topalovic, a member of Jemietu el Furkan and
the Active Islamic Youth, two radical organisations, is expected to
be brief as almost all the circumstances of the tragedy in
Kostajnica are known.
After the investigation, the Topalovic file will be forwarded to
the cantonal prosecutor's office to decide on indicting him.
The cantonal and federal interior ministries are continuing
investigations into the two radical organisations suspected of
possible ties to the triple murder.
One Bosnian Muslim man has been arrested after a significant amount
of arms was found at his home in nearby Konjic.
