The Sarajevo Archbishop, Cardinal Vinko Puljic, said the funeral
mass. In a brief speech, Puljic called for a cessation of hatred. He
said that those who had inspired the killings had not been
arrested.
"I mean to say that the true criminal was not arrested, only the
killer was. The true criminal is the one who taught this man he
should kill in the name of God, in the name of faith," Puljic said,
insinuating the inspiration for the crime had come from Islamic
humanitarian associations.
Topalovic was a member of the radical organisations "Jemiet el
Fourqan" and the Active Islamic Youth which are financed by Saudi
Arabia. Puljic stressed that these organisations were the most
responsible for undermining coexistence in Bosnia.
Puljic said the international community was the most responsible
for the crime in Kostajnica, stressing that previous crimes and
pressures on Catholics had not been prosecuted.
