PRISTINA, Dec 21 (Hina) - The Swedish Armed Forces' commander, General Johan Hederstet, on Friday evening arrived in Pristina on a two-day visit to Kosovo to be acquainted with the situation on the ground, as the Swedish battalion
within the international Kosovo Force (KFOR) should soon take over from Britons the job of ensuring security in the area.

General Johan Hederstet, on Friday evening arrived in Pristina on a
two-day visit to Kosovo to be acquainted with the situation on the
ground, as the Swedish battalion within the international Kosovo
Force (KFOR) should soon take over from Britons the job of ensuring

Upon his arrival, the Swedish general held talks with Kosovo
President Ibrahim Rugova, whom he promised that Stockholm would
continue to support Kosovo.
Gen. Hederstet said Sweden and international community advocated
the progress of Kosovo as a democratic multiethnic and developed
society.
