According to the statement, the Office "reacted and contacted the
SFOR Liaison Office on Monday evening already, protesting most
strongly on behalf of the government", and received apologies for
the incident.
Members of the Office will meet on Wednesday with members of the
SFOR's Liaison Office at the government building. The SFOR
officials are expected to submit a detailed report on the incident
and Croatian officials will hand the head of the SFOR Liaison Office
a written protest note, the statement reads.
Zagreb mayor Vlasta Pavic has also protested against the
desecration of the Wall of Pain.
The Foreign Ministry has forwarded a protest note to the SFOR
Command in Sarajevo, condemning the incident and requesting that
the perpetrators be identified and adequately punished and leave
Croatia as soon as possible.
The ministry reminds that Monday's incident is not the first
incident involving SFOR troops in Croatia. The Croatian public
expects an apology, reads the note.
