ZAGREB, Dec 20 (Hina) - The Croatian Roads (HAC) and a group of banks, headed by Zagrebacka Banka and DEPFA Investment Bank Limited from London, on Friday signed an EUR150 million loan contract.

The loan was granted for a period of 14 years (with a three-year
grace period) and a variable interest rate based on EURIBOR and a
state collateral.
The loan will be used for the construction of two sections of the
Zagreb-Split highway.
This year HAC signed several loan contracts worth around 500
million euros. With previously signed contracts, the total amount
of the loans signed amount to 900 million euros, while funds needed
to finance to highways have been estimated at 1.65 billion euros.
