The Steering Board last week requested the HRT Council to discuss
the completing of the editorial staff. However, as four council
members walked out of today's session during a debate on the first
item on the agenda, the Council could not continue the sitting.
The new Council member, Antun Vrdoljak, who was nominated by the
Croatian Olympic Committee, walked out as well.
Vrdoljak stated that the Council was divided over "political, not
programme issues" and proposed that a closed session be held to
settle personal animosities between council members or dissolve
the council.
Council chairman Vlatko Silobrcic said the members' walking out of
the session was an act of sabotage, adding that they had joined
those who publicly and through the media attacked the Council.
