BELGRADE: TRANSITIONAL SOLUTION FOR PREVLAKA ENDORSED

BELGRADE, Dec 6 (Hina) - The Yugoslav Supreme Defence Council on Friday endorsed a temporary solution for the Prevlaka peninsula as agreed on by the Croatian and Yugoslav authorities. #L# "The Supreme Defence Council has supported the agreed solution as a temporary one, which does not prejudge the final demarcation of the border between the two countries in that region," reads a statement issued after the meeting. The statement further notes that the transitional solution establishes a border regime which facilitates the movement of people across the border. The transitional solution will contribute to the building of mutual trust, without unilateral moves by either side, once U.N. observers withdraw from Prevlaka and until a final solution is adopted, reads the statement.
