BELGRADE BELGRADE, Dec 16 (Hina) - A U.N. Security Council delegation, headed by Norwegian diplomat Ole Peter Kolby, on Monday met with Yugoslav President Vojislav Kostunica, Premier Zoran Dindic and the chief of the co-ordinating
centre for Kosovo and Deputy Prime Minister, Nebojsa Covic.
BELGRADE, Dec 16 (Hina) - A U.N. Security Council delegation,
headed by Norwegian diplomat Ole Peter Kolby, on Monday met with
Yugoslav President Vojislav Kostunica, Premier Zoran Dindic and
the chief of the co-ordinating centre for Kosovo and Deputy Prime
Minister, Nebojsa Covic. #L#
"We still cannot talk about the final status of Kosovo but primarily
- in keeping with UN Security Council Resolution 1244 - we need to
create the terms to build a multi-ethnic society," the Yugoslav
President's office reported following the meeting with the U.N.
Security Council delegation with particular emphasis on the
continuation of co-operation with the UNMIK.
Norway's diplomat, Kolby, the statement said, stressed that
progress had been made in Kosovo but it was vital to set up wider
dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.
The U.N. Security Council delegation will meet Yugoslavia's
Foreign Minister Goran Svilanovic in Belgrade on Tuesday and on
Thursday, as announced, it will submit its report to the U.N.
Security Council about the state in Kosovo.
