TIRANA, Dec 15 (Hina) - Serb and Yugoslav governments' senior officials Nebojsa Covic and Rasim Ljajic met Albanian deputy premier and foreign minister Ilir Meta in Tirana on Sunday to discuss the promotion of the two countries'
bilateral relations and try to find a solution to problems in Kosovo.
TIRANA, Dec 15 (Hina) - Serb and Yugoslav governments' senior
officials Nebojsa Covic and Rasim Ljajic met Albanian deputy
premier and foreign minister Ilir Meta in Tirana on Sunday to
discuss the promotion of the two countries' bilateral relations and
try to find a solution to problems in Kosovo. #L#
The head of Albania's diplomacy expressed satisfaction about
improved relations of the two countries. He particularly focused on
the Kosovo issue, that is the coexistence of Albanians and Serbs.
Meta stressed Albania's readiness to encourage officials and
politicians in Kosovo to continue contacts with the authorities in
Belgrade in order to solve concrete problems.
Meta said Belgrade and Tirana cannot directly decide about Kosovo's
future, but can invest efforts in improving the coexistence of
Albanians and Serbs in Kosovo.
Covic and Ljajic travelled to Tirana with an economic delegation.
