The protocol does not prejudge the final solution for nor the
demarcation of the peninsula which borders on Croatia, the Yugoslav
Information Ministry said in a statement.
It added the protocol would contribute to the strengthening of
peace, stability, and cooperation in this part of Europe, the
continuation and development of good neighbourly relations, and
the advancement of overall economic cooperation.
Earlier today the protocol was endorsed by Yugoslavia's Supreme
Defence Council at a session which was attended by representatives
of the Army's General Staff.
