Pintaric said that the leadership had received a written request by
the trustee in bankruptcy "to grant a short-term loan of 2.8 million
kuna" to settle the difference between minimum wage which was
secured through a loan from the Croatian Privatisation Fund, and
full salaries which Vice-Premier Slavko Linic had promised the
employees on November 7.
Pintaric said that due to the irresponsible conduct of the Croatian
government, 2,000 employees had not received the promised wages.
The government secured funds only for minimum wages through the
privatisation fund.
