"We've reduced the budget and brought it down to a total deficit of
five percent which will contribute to its reality," Granic said
following a meeting of the Economic-Social Council (GSV).
He reported that the government had rejected amendments by MPs had
moved for additional budget increase and accepted only those that
propose decreases in certain accounts.
The GSV also discussed a package of tax laws and proposed that the
lowest salary and basic wage to calculate contributions be
increased from the current 1,800 kuna (approx. 241 euros) to 1,858
kuna (249 euros).
