Requests to be relieved of duty were sent to the Croatian Television
Council by news and political affairs editor Nikola Kristic,
entertainment and sports editor Damir Matkovic, documentaries
editor Branko Schmidt, day-time news editor Oliver Drazic, news
editor Katja Kusec, entertainment editor Aleksandar Kostadinov,
children and youth programme editor Zoran Margetic, arts editor
Jasna Bozinovski-Zivalj, culture editor Lada Dzidic, and science
and education editor Marija Vukovic-Siriscevic.
They wish their requests to be considered this week, at a session
the Croatian Radio and Television Council is to hold on Thursday.
The resigning editors have explained their step with the lack of
communication in decision-making regarding programmes over a
longer period and constant disagreements regarding programme
content with editor Ulaga-Valic. These problems prevent them from
keeping both their editorial and personal credibility, they
claim.
Resignations have not been tendered by vox-pop programme editor
Goran Milic, science programme editor Domagoj Buric, documentary
programme editor Miro Brankovic, and sports programme editor Bruno
Kovacevic.
