SISAK, Nov 19 (Hina) - The Croatian Supreme Court President Ivica Crnic on Tuesday released data that Croatian judges resolved about 2.6 million cases each year while at the same time they received a new million and a half cases, and he pointed out the problem of pending cases from the preceding period.
SISAK, Nov 19 (Hina) - The Croatian Supreme Court President Ivica Crnic on Tuesday released data that Croatian judges resolved about 2.6 million cases each year while at the same time they received a new million and a half cases, and he pointed out the problem of pending cases from the preceding period. #L# Speaking at a ceremony of the opening of the Commercial Court in Sisak, Crnic expressed hope that the parliament would adopt the government' proposal for an increase in the funding for the judiciary. Justice Minister Ingrid Anticevic Marinovic spoke about the significance of the Commercial Court to enable the proper functioning of the economy and particularly its role in accelerating bankruptcy proceedings. She informed that the Government had secured significant funding from the World Bank for bankruptcy proceedings in Croatia, adding that this should contribute to the speedier implementation of these bankruptcy proceedings.
