The agreement was signed by the two institutions' chairmen of the
board, HBOR's Anton Kovacev and ECGC's P. M. A. Hakeem. The ECGC is
the world's fifth largest export-credit agency and a member of the
Bern Union, the HBOR said.
The purpose of the agreement is to stimulate joint projects in third
countries which refer to the export of goods and services and to
strengthen cooperation in securing export contracts and issuing
guarantees in line with OECD and Bern Union regulations.
In December 2000, the HBOR and the Export-Import Bank of India
signed an agreement on cooperation. Today's agreement rounds off
the signing of cooperation agreements with leading Indian
financial and export institutions.
