ZAGREB, Oct 24 (Hina) - Croatia's Economy Minister Ljubo Jurcic and the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry's Under-Secretary, Darius Jurgelevicius, signed a bilateral free trade agreement in Zagreb on Thursday.

Trade between the two countries totalled 5.7 million dollars in
2001, when Croatia's imports from Lithuania came to 939,300 dollars
while exports totalled 4.7 million dollars.
In the first eight months of 2002, commodity exchange totalled
$4.15 million, which is an increase of 40 percent in comparison to
the same period in 2001.
In the January-August period of 2002, Croatia exported goods to
Lithuania totalling $2.7 million, while imports totalled 1.4
million dollars.
Croatia's biggest exporter to this Baltic country is the leading
pharmaceutical company Pliva. The export of drugs is followed by
the export of electric and textile products.
