The Yugoslav Justice Ministry has sent the court a note in the
Cyrillic script with an explanation as to why the witnesses did not
come. The court has requested a court interpreter to translate the
note tomorrow.
The court today heard the testimony of Ugljesa Bulovic, the twin
brother of Gojko Bulovic, who under the indictment was beaten to
death at Lora.
Ugljesa Bulovic and his brother Gojko were taken together to Lora on
June 13, 1992. Two days later Ugljesa was transferred to the prison
at Bilice and never saw his brother again. The witness confirmed
that he had been connected to an inductor during interrogations. He
also stated that during the first night in prison, when his brother
died, he had heard cries. He had not seen anything but he could feel
the "anguish and pain" of his twin brother, the witness said.
Bulovic also stated that he would not be able to recognise any of the
people who had tortured him in prison.
Since all available witnesses have been questioned, the trial will
resume on Tuesday with the presentation of new evidence.
