The protest was organised by two Ironworks trade unions.
Workers refer to the trustee in bankruptcy for their company, Ilija
Maric, the Zagreb Commercial Court's Bankruptcy Council, and the
government, asking them to make sure that the employees receive two
late salaries and enable the resumption of production and work for
1,700 employees who have been on forced annual leave since Oct. 1,
as well as the resumption of work in the Ironworks branch Remont
Capraga and its 270 employees, who are protesting since Oct. 2.
Trade union commissioners announced a peaceful protest in front of
the government building in Zagreb tomorrow. The protesters will not
disperse until the government finds a solution to save the Sisak
Ironworks.
