The discussions were held between a debate on the International
Court of Justice and the continuation of talks on the resolution on
Iraq.
In the morning hours the Council heard 19 speakers in a debate on
women, peace and security.
Exhausted from work and this month's chairing of the Council,
Cameroon's ambassador Martin Belinga-Eboutou by mistake declared
the debate on the ICTY and ICTR closed, allowing only diplomats of
the 15 Council member-states to participate. It was only after some
of them intervened that representatives of Croatia, Bosnia-
Herzegovina and Yugoslavia were allowed to attend and address the
session.
