There are about 30 items on the agenda, and the session is planned to
last two weeks. However, the sitting is likely to take five to six
weeks because of bills which will be forwarded by the government.
MPs should discuss a draft revision of this year's state budget and
a draft budget for 2003 as well as a series of accompanying bills,
Sabor President Zlatko Tomcic said on Tuesday.
Asked by reporters about an election bill, Tomcic answered that as
far as he knew the government had not yet prepared it, but that some
political parties were preparing their proposals. He assessed that
these bills might be sent into parliamentary procedure in several
days.
He said the parliament's presidency might convene for a session at
which Premier Ivica Racan would speak about developments in the
case of General Janko Bobetko. Such a meeting is possible, Tomcic
added.
