The Austrian parliamentary delegation, headed by Fischer, arrived
in Zagreb today for a two-day visit to Croatia.
The two officials told reporters that they had discussed the
enlargement of the European Union, Croatia's admission to NATO and
the EU, economic relations, and the Slovene-Croatian nuclear power
plant Krsko.
Tomcic said that intensive mutual visits by the countries'
officials proved Austria's continual support for Croatia's foreign
policy and its aspirations towards joining Euro-Atlantic
associations.
Fischer said that Tomcic had informed him about the case of Janko
Bobetko, a retired Croatian general indicted by the Hague-based war
crimes tribunal.
The Austrian delegation will also meet Foreign Minister Tonino
Picula and Zagreb mayor Vlasta Pavic today.
Tomorrow they will meet President Stjepan Mesic and Prime Minister
Ivica Racan.
