As the spokesman for the Mostar branch office of the OSCE Mission to
B-H, Henning Philipp, said, property rights are being violated by
local authorities who were selectively implementing the law and
failing to ensure sufficient alternative accommodation for
temporary tenants of someone else's property. He explained that
international organisations in Bosnia had drafted a new strategic
plan to implement property laws according to which after October 15
they would no longer tolerate failures of local authorities to
ensure alternative accommodation.
The international community has already pointed out sources for
alternative accommodation and local authorities will be compelled
to immediately commence working on this. All evictions must be
executed, Philipp said.
