MOSTAR, Oct 8 (Hina) - A delegation of inspectors of the European Football Association (UEFA) on Monday evening toured Mostar, Bosnia-Herzegovina, to examine possibilities of this southern city for being a venue of matches of the
European Championships in 2008, after Croatia and Bosnia submitted their joint candidature for being the host of that sporting event.
MOSTAR, Oct 8 (Hina) - A delegation of inspectors of the European
Football Association (UEFA) on Monday evening toured Mostar,
Bosnia-Herzegovina, to examine possibilities of this southern city
for being a venue of matches of the European Championships in 2008,
after Croatia and Bosnia submitted their joint candidature for
being the host of that sporting event. #L#
Until the end of this week, the UEFA delegation will visit a few
other Bosnian cities - Sarajevo, Zenica and Banja Luka - and later
the Croatian cities of Osijek, Zagreb and Split as the potential
venues for the matches of the Soccer Championships in 2008.
The UEFA executive committee will decide on the host of the
championships on 12 December this year.
