ZAGREB, Oct 18 (Hina) - A proposal to extend the hours for cheaper electricity rates by one hour in the morning and one in the evening - i.e. the current eight hours to ten hours daily - is one of the most important conclusions of a
meeting on Friday between Government representatives and the Council for the Regulation of Energy, the state-run Power Industry (HEP) and consumer associations.

electricity rates by one hour in the morning and one in the evening -
i.e. the current eight hours to ten hours daily - is one of the most
important conclusions of a meeting on Friday between Government
representatives and the Council for the Regulation of Energy, the
state-run Power Industry (HEP) and consumer associations. #L#
The proposal will be forwarded to the Government that should then
amend Article 23 of the tariff system for electrical energy. The
Government will be presented with other measures to ensure the
implementation of its decisions in the application of the new
tariff system which should not lead to increased revenues for HEP at
the expense of consumers.
