on a two-day visit. #L#
After the guests held a closed meeting with the Djakovo district
commander, Major General Slavko Baric, and his associates, Gen.
Suto said that cooperation between the two armies was developing
well, not only on the command level but also between lower-rank
units.
Baric said the cooperation was particularly interesting to
Croatia, given that the Hungarian military had undergone some
reorganising processes and was heading towards
professionalisation and NATO's standards, which was important to
the Croatian army.
"Croatian officers are being trained in Hungary, and I believe that
next year some Hungarian troops will conduct smaller scale tactical
exercises in the Gasinci drilling ground," the Croatian general
said.
