There are no Yugoslav officers in Iraq nor is there official
Yugoslav military assistance to Iraq, said Dragan Velickovic, head
of the Defence Ministry's information department.
Talking to Beta news agency, he said he did not believe in the
existence of "unofficial arrangements" with Iraq either, "because
our country has clearly opted for returning into the international
community and joining (NATO's) Partnership for Peace."
"Sunday Times" a few days ago said that senior Yugoslav Army
officers had decided to cooperate with Iraq as they were still mad
over NATO's air strikes on Yugoslavia in 1999. Their presence in
Iraq was allegedly confirmed by their families.
