Minister Moller spoke with Croatian Foreign Minister Tonino Picula
in Copenhagen on Wednesday.
There can be no exceptions in cooperation with the Hague-based
tribunal, Moller told journalists following his talks with
Minister Picula.
The EU is convinced that the Croatian government will continue to
cooperate, he said. The situation in the former Yugoslavia must be
cleared up and there can be no exceptions for war crimes, he said.
The Danish minister warned about the consequences for the Hague-
based tribunal should the cooperation weaken. If a country fails to
extradite suspects then others will not wish to do so either,
Minister Moller said.
The EU Council of Ministers currently presided by Denmark on Monday
warned Croatia about the necessity to continue cooperating with the
Hague.
"My government is determined to fully cooperate with the ICTY. No-
one can interpret this last case as giving up from good co-operation
between Zagreb and the Hague," Minister Picula said.
Croatia instigated a legal dispute with the Hague with regard to the
arrest of the former Croatian Army Chief-of-Staff, General Janko
Bobetko, whom the court has indicted for war crimes committed in
Medak Pocket in 1993.
