DUBROVNIK, Oct 15 (Hina) - A meeting of national committees on international humanitarian law began in Cavtat on Tuesday, pooling 35 participants from Croatia, Hungary, and Slovenia who will discuss, among other things, how harmonised
national legislation is with international humanitarian law.

The two-day event will also address the incorporation of accepted
norms of international humanitarian law in national legislation
and the protection of asylum seekers in Croatia, Hungary, and
Slovenia.
Committees on international humanitarian law are active in 62
countries.
Their task is to counsel and help their governments master and
expand their knowledge of humanitarian law.
