Witness Vojin Ilic said that in 1991 he was abducted from a street in
Gospic and later returned to his home. He added that defendant Milan
Canic had recommended that he stay home for his own safety.
As a part of the defense of defendant Stjepan Grandic, two Perusic
residents of Serb nationality, Dragica Zarak and Nada Stakic, took
the witness stand. They both said that Grandic was fair during the
war, that he helped them and that they had no problems because of
their nationality. Witness Zeljko Delac also spoke in Grandic's
favour.
The trial resumes on Tuesday.
