The bureau explained on Thursday that retail prices, together with
seasonal products, in September rose by 0.8 percent as opposed to
August, while living expenses increased by 0.7 percent.
The September increase of retail prices, apart from January, is the
highest this year.
This trend for last month was influenced by an increase in the
prices of transport services (2.4 percent) and industrial and non-
food products (1.1 percent), which were, in turn, affected by an
increase in the price of electricity.
The increase in the price of electricity for households is 20.5
percent, according to the statistics.
Tenancy prices in September increased by 4.8 percent in relation to
the month before, which is also explained mostly by the increase in
the price of electricity.
At the annual level, retail prices increased by 1.8 percent and
living expenses by 1.5 percent in comparison to the year 2001.
