Today's talks between representatives of CACC and Croatian
institutions and firms was organised by the Zagreb Chamber of
Commerce. The president of the Chamber, Zlatan Froelich, said this
was a good opportunity to intensify Croatian-American economic
relations.
The two countries' foreign trade is on an ascending line and
according to the 2001 data of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce,
Croatia's export to the US increased by 19 percent in relation to
2000, amounting to US$107.4 million. Croatia's import from the US
increased by 24 percent to US$404.3 million.
The US is one of more significant investors in Croatia, Froelich
said.
Apart from Zagreb, the presentation of the CACC will be organised in
Split, while Croatian businessmen interested in cooperation with
the Chamber and US companies will travel to Atlanta next year.
