BUCHAREST, Sept 12 (Hina) - Croatian President Stjepan Mesic on Thursday morning arrived in Bucharest on an official visit to Romania in order to strengthen bilateral, particularly economic ties between the two countries.

Mesic first met his Romanian counterpart and host Ion Ilijescu.
Members of state delegations will join the talks later.
The Croatian delegation to Romania, lead by President Mesic, also
includes Economy Minister Ljubo Jurcic, Maritime and
Communications Minister Roland Zuvanic, European Integration
Minister Neven Mimica and Deputy Foreign Minister Vesna Cvjetkovic
Kurelec. The president of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce, Nadan
Vidosevic, is heading a delegation of about 20 businessmen.
After meeting President Ilijescu, Croatia's head of state is
expected to hold a lecture in Bucharest's "NATO Home" called "State
Based on the Rule of Law - Condition for Development of Transition
Countries".
