year's first eight months amounted to more than US$3.5 billion,

Croatia's total export between January and August amounted to
US$3.125 billion, which is three percent more than in the same
period the year before.
The import marks a significantly higher increase - 10.9 percent
reaching US$6.658 billion, read data of the Central Bureau of
Statistics.
In the first eight months of 2002, Croatia's foreign deficit
amounted to US$3,533 billion, which is 19 percent more than in the
same period the year before.
Croatia's total export of goods between January and August 2002
amounted to US$3.45 billion or one percent less than in the same
period the year before. Croatia's import increased by 6.2 percent
reaching US$7.3 billion.
