The Council of Ministers calls on the Croatian authorities to fully
cooperate with the ICTY in the General Bobetko case, read a
statement released after a meeting of the EU Council of Ministers in
Brussels on Monday.
The Council of Ministers strongly supported the work of the Hague-
based war crimes tribunal.
Cooperation with the Tribunal is the obligation of all countries
and parties in the region regardless of national laws. Failing to
fully cooperate with the ICTY could jeopardise further
rapprochement with the European Union, said the statement issued
after the meeting chaired by the Danish Foreign Minister, Per Stig
Moeller.
