According to Serb sources, most of the planned 268 polling stations
were opened. Prior to the opening of the polling station in Kosovska
Vitina, a mine was found and immediately removed by international
troops.
There were no reports about other incidents, only big problems
occurred with the lists of eligible voters in northern Kosovo.
International forces, in charge of ensuring the regular and safe
process of voting, visited some polling stations.
Independent sources have said that the turnout was a low in the
morning.
Kosovo Albanians, who make up a majority of the local population,
treat the Serbian presidential poll as an election in a
neighbouring country.
