ZAGREB, Sept 29 (Hina) - The Croatian National Bank increased its
foreign exchange reserves to over 5.7 billion dollars in August.

According to preliminary figures, published on the central bank's
web site, the reserves climbed by 110 million dollars to $5.758
billion at the end of August as against July.
The foreign exchange reserves rose by over one billion US dollars
from the beginning of 2002 to the end of August.
The structure of the reserves shows that USD95.3 million referred
to the drawing rights, 0.2 million were reserves within the
International Monetary Fund, and the rest of 5.663 billion are
foreign currencies.
Commercial banks held 2.9 billion dollars of foreign exchange
reserves at the end of August.
