CROATIAN PARLIAMENTARIANS ATTEND INTERPARLIAMENTARY UNION SESSION

ZAGREB/ZURICH, Sept 25 (Hina) - A Croatian parliamentary delegation, which has been participating in the 171st session of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Geneva since Tuesday, will present Croatia's own models of development funding, highway construction, and housing incentives. The delegation will present Croatia's models of development funding through two funds - a fund for regional development and an employment fund, which are in compliance with the European Union funds, a delegation member Vesna Pusic told Hina on Wednesday. Also presented will be a model of infrastructure funding, including highway construction and the construction of flats, Pusic said. The IPU is an international organisation gathering parliaments of sovereign states, established in 1889. Its aim is to promote parliamentary dialogue, and strengthen peace, democracy and respect for human rights in the world. The IPU has 142 full and five associate members (the associate members are the Andean Parliament, the Central American Parliament, the European Parliament, the Latin American Parliament and the Council of Europe's Parliamentary Assembly).
