The delegation asked Bishop Kosic about his opinion on the UN war
crimes tribunal's indictment against General Janko Bobetko, and
the dignitary answered that the situation in Croatia reflected the
dissatisfaction of a majority of citizens with the accusations
which the tribunal levelled against the key person in the defence of
Croatia.
It is difficult for people to watch Croatian defenders beside
Slobodan Milosevic at The Hague, who masterminded the aggression
against Croatia, the bishop said.
Bishop believes that it is possible that crimes are committed in the
defence, but he insists on individual responsibility of
perpetrators in such cases.
