Speaking at the ceremony of a local company near Lipik, Sabor
President said "Croatia has considerably large legal possibilities
to prevent Gen. Bobetko's departure to The Hague."
"Certainly, I agree that his place is not there," Tomcic said.
He stressed that Croatia "is being now at the most sensitive
political moment". He added that this situation could be used
either for further political conflicts and deeper divisions in the
society or for the defusion and the prudent handling of the entire
process in a responsible manner and by homogenising the national
being in Croatia.
Tomcic said he personally would opt for the latter possibility.
