A press release notes that the proposal was put forward during a
meeting between Mesic and Lagumdzija held on Tuesday in Salzburg
where the European Economic Forum was held.
Considering complete relations between the two countries, Mesic
and Lagumdzija stated that these were good, and that the recent
solution to the border crossing at Kostajnica was an example of how
contentious issues should be resolved through dialogue and to
mutual interest.
The two officials also discussed an agreement on dual citizenship
in light of the fact that the Croatian government still has not
answered to a draft agreement that was forwarded from Sarajevo, the
press release said.
There was also talk of an agreement on access to Croatia's Ploce
Port and Croatian transit through Neum, Bosnia. It was stated that
Bosnia-Herzegovina was completely fulfilling its share of the
obligations, while Mesic said that authorities in Ploce and
competent Croatian authorities were ready for constructive
solutions.
