The Belgrade press quoted Dragomir Popov as saying that Yugoslavia
was gathering documentation on the matter, and that leading
Croatian clothes manufacturer "Varteks" and Slovenia's "Aero" and
"Sloveniales" had already contacted the above-mentioned agency.
According to the "Blic" paper, "Varteks" wants the restitution of
its 29 shops and it announced that it would re-employ its former
workers in Serbia and Montenegro.
"The Croatian Embassy has asked detailed information about
everything," Popov told "Blic".
He said he was expecting the former republics would offer the same
to Serbia and Montenegro. So far, Belgrade has agreed with
Slovenia, but things have been a little more complicated with
Croatia, he added.
