The second accused from the so-called Gospic Group, Ivica Rozic,
whose two-year pre-verdict detention term expired, was released on
Wednesday night from the Rijeka County prison. The Rijeka County
State Prosecution's Office requested of the Gospic County
investigating judge to expand the investigation in Gospic, which is
not related to the Rijeka trial.
The request was made because Rozic is suspected of having placed and
setting off explosive devices on 13 occasions between 1996 and
1998, killing six people.
Rukavina said the investigation would be held in Gospic, and the
first hearing was set for Friday.
Rozic belongs to the so-called Gospic Group of five suspected of war
crimes against civilians in the Gospic area in 1991. The trial is
taking place in Rijeka.
