RIJEKA, Aug 27 (Hina) - A former head of the Croatian military
intelligence, SIS, Josip Perkovic, said at the trial of the so-
called Gospic Group on Tuesday he had had no knowledge of the
liquidation of civilians in Gospic. #L#
Perkovic said that the meeting with former President Franjo Tudjman
of December 1991, when he learned of the disappearance of some
Gospic residents, did not discuss the number of missing people,
their nationality, or where they had gone missing.
The first witness called today by the defence of Mirko Norac was
Stevo Prazic, an operative in the 118th brigade in 1991. Prazic
spoke about the defence of Gospic and among other things said that
as a Serb he had not been treated differently than other members of
the brigade.
Prazic will continue testifying on Wednesday.
