The biggest decrease, of 0.36 percent, was recorded in Rijeka,
while in Zagreb and other major towns living costs remained almost
the same as in July.
Living continues to be most expensive in Bol, where monthly minimum
costs for food, hygiene, clothing, housing, transport, and
cultural activities were 7,731 kuna (EUR1,044).
These costs in Zagreb were 6,506 kuna.
Varazdin, where such costs were 6,288 kuna, is the cheapest
Croatian town to live in, although it does not have public
transport.
According to Central Bureau of Statistics data, the average salary
covers living costs the most in Varazdin County (59.19 percent).
Zagreb County follows with 57.2 percent.
The NHS basket did not include the costs of education, health,
vacationing, and sports activities, and assumed that the four-
member family did not have a car.
