A protocol on the transfer of five "Mitsubishi Pajero" vehicles,
worth around 200,000 euros, was signed by Interior Minister Sime
Lucin and German Ambassador Gebhardt Weiss.
After the signing ceremony, Lucin said Germany was Croatia's
"number one partner in the EU" because of the generous assistance it
was providing in the reform and equipment of the Croatian police.
Ambassador Weiss expressed confidence that the donated vehicles
would be useful and help the border police combat illegal
migrations.
He recalled that Germany had donated around 600,000 euros worth of
assistance to the Croatian police this year.
