ZAGREB, Aug 21 (Hina) - A total of 378,000 passengers and 1,534 tonnes of cargo were transported by air in Croatia between early April and late June, growths of 3.3 and 5.7 percent respectively as against the same time last
year.

In this year's first six months, 559,000 passengers and 2,966
tonnes of cargo were transported by air which, compared to the same
period of time in 2001, was 2.4 and 2.9 percent higher
respectively.
Seven more percent passengers (274,000) and 2.15 percent more cargo
(1,185 tonnes) were transported in this year's second quarter in
international traffic. Domestic traffic registered a 5.5 percent
decline in the number of passengers (104,000), and a 26.7 percent
drop in the amount of cargo (349 tonnes).
There were 13,252 flights in the second quarter of this year, an
increase of 5.9 percent as against the first quarter, whereas the
number of passengers grew by 1.3 percent, amounting to 693,000.
