The situation was the same in comparison to mid-August 2001, as
regards the figures about holiday-makers.
According to the same source, there were 495.1 thousand foreigners
vacationing in Croatia at the start of this week, while the number
of Croatians came to 59.5 thousand.
Dalmatia with 230.4 thousand guests registered a rise of nine
percent in the number of tourists, as against mid-August 2001.
Istria and Kvarner registered a fall of seven and five percent
respectively.
There were 183.1 thousand holiday-makers on the biggest Croatian
peninsula at the start of this week, while Kvarner reported 141.1
thousand guests.
