Jaksic emphasised that Kostunica would certainly win over his
rivals at the presidential election.
"We believe that Kostunica's main rival could be Miroljub Labus who
is being extensively promoted in Belgrade," Jaksic said.
He admitted that Kostunica might not get sufficient votes in the
first round, but would surely beat Labus in the second round of the
elections.
Public opinion polls conducted in the past ten days indicate that
the most serious competitors for the election are deputy prime
minister of the federal government, Miroljub Labus, and Yugoslav
president Vojislav Kostunica who still has not officially
announced his intention to run as candidate for the presidential
elections in Serbia on September 29.
