A final bill on confirming the Convention on European Landscapes
was endorsed. The bill takes on the obligation of implementing
policies and adopting regulations on protecting the landscape.
A decision was adopted on the commencement of applying customs
tariffs as pertaining to the Order on Customs Tariffs for 2002 which
relate to the importing of goods from Iceland.
An order was adopted to publish an Agreement between the Republic of
Croatia and the International Bank for Reconstruction and
Development concerning a British donation for the Social Security
Project. The donation amounts to 352,800 British pounds and the
agreement will come into force on 21 December 2001.
It was decided at the session to initiate proceedings to conclude an
agreement on social security between Croatia and New Zealand. By
the same token a decision was adopted to initiate proceedings to
conclude a Memorandum of Understanding relating to co-operation in
the field of small and medium sized businesses between Croatia and
Italy. The government initiated proceedings to conclude a free
trade agreement with Albania.
